DON’T BE A FOOL! FEMA chief decries rumors, disinformation about hurricane recovery as worst ever

Just like, ‘They are eating their cats and dogs” SHAME! How dumb can it get? Way to many Americans are being guided by their politics and not God. All this junk is one reason why Christianity is falling in America, Christians spreading lies and acting like fools, and supporting bad politicians. I am an Independent, I do not trust any political party. Why are so many Pastors quiet right now in America? We need Pastors to help correct the bad behavior of many Christians. Silence does no good for God.

Instead of spreading lies get on your knees and pray for those in harms way. In the news biz, I was trained as a journalist in 1978 at Brown in Minneapolis and as a news reporter at the Minnesota State News Network, we were required to check with 2 to 3 sources before we could report a story. I was a news reporter, news/talk host, news director, and general manager, in parts of my 42 years in radio. Now in America anything flies…such as eating cats and dogs. We here at FGGAM do our best to practice ethical journalism. As my buddy, the late Frank Hayley who is in the New Mexico Broadcaster Hall of Fame would say, ” Journalism is rare in America.”

If politics could fix Americas, that would have happened years and years ago, the only TRUE FIXER FOR AMERICA IS JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!

The Bible strongly condemns the act of spreading falsehoods, primarily through the Ten Commandments which state “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor,” meaning one should not spread lies or false information about others; this is considered a sin.

Proverbs 12:22: “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.”

Don’t be a FOOL! The Bible has much to say about fools. The word fool today usually means “a senseless fellow, a dullard.” The biblical definition has the added dimension of “someone who disregards God’s Word.” The Bible lists many characteristics of such a person, often contrasting him with one who is wise. Ecclesiastes 10:2 says, “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.” A fool is one whose wayward heart turns continually toward foolishness. “Fools speak foolishness and make evil plans” (Isaiah 32:6). Proverbs 26:11 says, “As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.” Fools do not learn their lessons from the mistakes they make. They continue doing the same foolish things over and over again, to their own destruction (Proverbs 18:7).More Here

I call all this the ‘dumbing down’ of America.

Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Deanne Criswell said Tuesday that rumors and disinformation will become a regular part of natural disaster response moving forward, and rebuked those seeking to benefit politically from spreading false information.

The volume and type of disinformation spreading about FEMA, as Southeast states struggle to recover from Hurricane Helene, is the worst Criswell said she has ever seen, following a “steady increase” in rumors following previous natural disasters.

Incorrect information about FEMA and its response to natural disasters has been spreading through numerous avenues, including social media, podcasts and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s numerous comments and posts. Criswell did not name any politicians or other individuals during the call with reporters. More Here
