Finding loved ones after Helene: People use social media to find missing family, friends in Western North Carolina

Can you even imagine not being able to find your loved ones? Lord have mercy. Sharon and are so very heartsick about this tragedy. America needs to come together and help. The Church needs to make a huge impact for GOD. I have also posted five reports on Disaster relief below. This disaster will take years and years to recover from. Some many never recover. Think about that today. Count your blessings. Stay close to JESUS!

Communities large and small have been devastated in Western North Carolina, and many who have loved ones in the mountains are still trying to find any information that they are OK.

Social media has helped fill in the gaps of sharing information on people who have been seen and accounted for since torrential rain from Tropical Storm Helene caused mass flooding and landslides that have cut off communities like Asheville, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Fletcher, Banner Elk, Black Mountain, Sylva, Hendersonville and many, many more from reliable outside lines of communication.

One group on Facebook, Hurricane Helene Safety Check-in, has been circulating information and lists of names of people who have been accounted for and has also helped people try and find those who are still missing. More Here
