All Israel News reported yesterday (10/30/2024) that a French court overturned a decision by the government of President Emmanuel Macron banning Israeli defense companies from exhibiting in France’s Euronaval World Defence Exhibition, a major international naval defense exhibit scheduled for the first week of November.

The Paris Commercial Court found that the French government’s decision did not comply with the free market rules of European Union and was contrary to the principles of equality and non-discrimination.

This was not the first time Macron’s government banned Israeli defense companies from exhibitions and conferences.  In June 2024, France denied 74 Israeli companies access to the world’s largest defense arms exhibit, Eurosatory 2024.

Earlier this month, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant called French President Emmanuel Macron’s decision a “disgrace to the French nation and the values of the free world,” writing on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) that “[t]he decision to discriminate against Israeli defense industries in France a second time aids Israel’s enemies during war.  This builds on the decision to place an arms embargo on the Jewish State.  France has adopted, and is consistently implementing a hostile policy towards the Jewish people.”

My brothers and sisters, on October 6, 2024, FGGAM reported on French President Macron’s support for an arms embargo against Israel HERE.  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed French President Emmanuel Macron and other Western leaders on October 5, 2024, stating that “[a]s Israel fights the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized countries should be standing firmly by Israel’s side, yet President Macron and other western leaders are now calling for arms embargoes against Israel.  Shame on them!”

Interestingly, and despite the differences between the French and United States federal governments, this situation is reminiscent of how the U.S. Supreme Court has to step into situations where clear-minded thinking (read:  common sense) and even the law has been ignored by the federal government.

Just like the Biden administration’s apparent and ongoing unwillingness to accept the Supreme Court’s ruling(s) that the U.S. federal government can’t legally choose to simply wipe away personal school-related debts using federal taxpayer funds, France’s court system has told the French government that it can’t seek political goals and personal ideologies contrary to the European Union’s laws regarding equality and non-discrimination.

Macron’s positions seem to stand in line with many political leaders in the United States, the European Union, the International Criminal Court, and the United Nations, which consistently speak or rule against Israel’s warfighting operations, and which desire to discriminate against and impose sanctions or criminal charges against Israel – revealing various degrees of support or ‘understanding’ for the terrorism put forth by Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran.

Let’s remember what the Bible has to say about the Jewish people and Israel:

Deuteronomy 7:6 (NKJV)
“For you [the Jews] are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself [emphasis mine], a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”

Zechariah 2:8 (Amplified Bible)
“For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘[a]fter glory He has sent Me against the nations which plunder you—for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.’”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
