Going Deeper In Forgiveness…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Recently, I was pressing in during a worship service. I didn’t know anyone in this service as I was in another state. It was just me and God. A lady came over to me and said God sees your worship and desires for you to go deeper in forgiveness. I thought to myself that maybe that is why my next book Blueberry Pancakes and Forgiveness has been delayed. I began to press in deeper. I want the right heart most of all, as well as the right timing for this book.
When we experience hurt, when we endure pain, it leaves a sting in the human heart. We don’t want to experience that again. Sometimes we avoid the person, the place where we endured the hurt, or even want to re-visit the thought of what happened. Forgiveness is the key. It doesn’t make things right, it gives God permission to work on our behalf on the other person as well as ourselves. I am sure we will all hurt or offend someone in our years here on earth. We must be forgiving people.
Every time the enemy of our soul brings it up, a friend or someone else (and he will) we must re-new our mind with God’s Word and ask God to help us guard our heart. Proverbs 4:23 tells us above all else, guard our heart, for everything we do flows from it. We don’t want bitter hearts; we want a heart like our Heavenly Father.
I want to have a good heart, a pure heart and always a heart that sees the best. How about you? Ready to forgive and live your best life yet?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for forgiveness of our sins. Father, give us the grace to forgive others as you forgave us. Forgiveness is not earned, deserved and it doesn’t make what’s wrong right. It does however free us to live out our lives according to your desires. By forgiving others, we set the captive free. That captive is us.
Father, purify our hearts today. Purify everything about us, oh God, so that we can look at the world through your eyes and continue our journey with the same forgiveness, love, compassion, joy, understanding that you have given to us.
Father, we choose to release today all offenses, hurts, bitterness, resentment and anything that is hidden deep within the recesses of our heart. Bring it to light and give us the grace to replace it with forgiveness and apply the healing balm of Gilead to our heart we pray. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36)
