And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
Romans 8:26-27
Have you ever been in such a need of prayer, feeling desperate but having no words?
I think we’ve all felt that from time to time and that’s when the Lord intercedes on our behalf, while we have wordless groans and when our plea cannot be spoken.
Recently, I found myself at a loss for words, but that’s when our Comforter (the Holy Spirit) was there to help me. As King James put it; “With a groaning which cannot be uttered.”
👉🏻Indescribable, wordless groans. That’s a lot on our plate, when we finally reach this place.
You see, there are times where trials and pain are too much to handle, but God did not just drop us off to wait for said trial to end.
The Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf. The Holy Spirit is our helper!
We all know that prayer is essential to a Christians life. It’s what we do and it’s how we communicate with our Father.
At any given time, without warning, we are caught somewhere between “our present sufferings” and the future “glory that will be revealed in us” and this can cause severe anxiety, fear, doubt and unbelief.
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18
I can fully rest in the assurance that it’s not my burden to figure it out, or to tell God how to fix the issues.
I just need to lay my desires, requests, worry and pain before Him and ask Him to bring them in line with His will, knowing He is a good and faithful God!
I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
Psalm 17:6
He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
Psalm 102:17
If you’re tired and have no words, it’s ok because God’s got you. Rest in him and let him intercede on your behalf. It’s the best place to be.
Many Blessings,
Connie
