Our God Never Fails

While we fail, this is never the case with our faithful and Almighty God.

The world seems to have gone half mad and continues to spin out of control. If you’re anything like me, “breaking news” also breaks my trust in positions, programs, and people. But in the midst of all the uncertainty, I’m reminded that our God never fails. Never.

Friends, even after today, Election Day in America, God will still be God and He will still be on His throne.

While we fail, this is never the case with our faithful and Almighty God.

He never fails His children. And He never fails as God. Because it’s outside God’s capacity to fail at anything.

Humanly speaking, failing is a natural part of life. But God is supernatural, failing is not in His wheelhouse.

So we learn from our own failures, how to cope with difficult life circumstances, and try to find peace in all the world’s chaos.

Still, let’s look at 5 ways to remind our hearts that God never fails (F-A-I-L-S).

F – Focus on God’s ability: God never fails

God “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” Ephesians 2:20 (ESV)

There’s not a better time to really know who God is and what God does than right now in our nation and world.

We trust God’s ability, not our own.

God. Is. Able.

A – Acknowledge God’s sovereignty

God rules as the supreme authority, doing what pleases Him (Psalm 115:3), His kingdom rules over all (Psalm 103:19).

Because no matter what happens and no matter who holds worldly or political positions, God is still on His throne and in control. God wants us to trust that He is God and He is good.

I – Identify God’s promises: God never fails

“Not one word of all the good promises that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; all came to pass.” Joshua 21:45 (ESV)

None of us know what any day may bring. But we know God’s promises prove true. And He will fulfill every promise He makes. Because God is the ultimate Promise-Keeper.

Faith is the firm ground where we stand waiting on the Lord to fulfill His promises.

Do we know what the Lord has promised to us in His Word? Let’s stay in the Word to learn and meditate on His promises.

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” Psalm 145:13b (NIV)

L – Lean on God’s comfort

Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (ESV) God as Shepherd makes me lie down in green pastures, leads me beside still waters, and restores my soul. (Verses 2-3)

“Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.” Romans 15:33 (ESV)

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 (ESV)

God is a God of comfort. But it’s our job to lean on Him and find the comfort we need.

S – Spend time with God in worship and prayer: God never fails

The more we get to know God by spending time with Him, the more we trust who He is and how He works in our lives. And we trust God’s best for us even when it doesn’t line up with our own plans.

As our relationship grows with the heavenly Father, our belief that He never fails also grows.

Focus on God’s ability.

Acknowledge God’s sovereignty.

Identify God’s promises.

Lean on God’s comfort.

Spend time with God in prayer and worship.

Let’s remember, our God never fails. Hallelujah!
