This clearly shows the division in America. Jesus is the only answer. America needs a Great Awakening. This division is not going away, it is going to worsen. Church attendances is decreasing in America. Just 4% of us have a Biblical Worldview, just 37% of Pastors have a Biblical Worldview.
As 89- year-old Dr. Claude Cone, who has spent 70 years in Christian ministry, told me this week that America needs a Great Awakening like this:
The issue of book banning in the United States is a growing concern, with books being targeted for censorship in schools and libraries.
Number of Banned Books
In the 2023-2024 school year, PEN America counted over 10,000 book bans in public schools. The American Library Association (“ALA”) documented 4,240 unique titles targeted for removal from schools and libraries in 2023, a 65% increase from 2022.
Content of Banned Books
Banned books often included themes related to race, racism, sexual orientation, gender identity and people of color. In the 2023-2024 school year, PEN America found that:
- 57% of the books banned included sex or sex-related topics;
- 44% included characters or people of color; and
- 39% included LGBTQ+ characters or people.
According to KOAT News 7 (Albuquerque, NM), tempers flared last night (11/20/2021) between protesters at an Albuquerque Public School Board meeting. Hundreds of protesters gathered outside of Albuquerque Public Schools Headquarters over the controversial banning of LGBTQ+ books.
Albuquerque Public Schools Police Department used a megaphone to demand that protesters leave and no arrests were made.
