“Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.”

Psalm 27:14

A season of waiting;

Waiting is never fun. In fact, waiting can be extremely painful at times. It may come at a time things are already difficult and it makes life feel burdensome and unfair.

I’ve often wondered why it seems like Christians have to wait on God so much.

I’ve also always said that Gods people are a waiting people.

I often pray I can learn a lesson from waiting.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12

Waiting on God increases and strengthens our faith in Him and makes us stronger.

I know for a fact that during my times of waiting, I’ve actually gotten closer to God. I wouldn’t trade that for anything in the world.

God’s timing is the best timing. As humans, we can mess things up quickly. So waiting on God’s perfect timing is crucial.

“The Lord gets his best soldiers out of the highlands of affliction.”

-Charles Spurgeon

God is sovereign and He calls the shots and because He knows everything, we must allow him to do what he deems best in our times of wait.

We are not in charge of our own destiny, He is, so we must understand that our lives are under the control of a wise, loving and patient God.

What a beautiful place to be!

A lack of trust is also a factor when we are inpatient and angry about our situation that doesn’t seem to be changing fast enough for us.

We all will experience unexpected hardships at one time or another. It’s in these times that our trust in God is really tested.

God said he would never leave us or abandon us.

The mercy and love of our Lord is with us, even in our darkest hours.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

Psalm 37:5

Trust him this very day!

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”

Jeremiah 17:7

Many Blessing’s,

Connie
