For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
God offers us a gift of eternal life. He offers us grace as well, neither of which can be measured by earthly standards.
But he also tells us that the wages of sin is death. Either a physical and or spiritual death.
These wages are the payment that is due for the cost of committing sin. Living a life of sin and disobedience to God.
We must always keep in mind that although God is a loving God, he’s also a just God.
“The Lord is righteous, he loves justice.
Psalm 11:7
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you”
Psalm 89:14
He is a just God who will judge injustice and wrongs. God sees the hearts and minds of men and will judge all men.
“I tell you that on the day of judgment people will have to account for every careless word they speak.”
Matthew 12:36
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Psalm 23:3
The heavens declare his righteousness,
for God himself is judge!
Psalm 50:6
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
When we sin, we are not exempt from the natural consequences of a broken relationship with God.
But when we repent, we are restored to life.
There is hope in Christ. We must pray, seek God, repent and He will be right next to you with arms wide open.
Trust him to forgive you and lead you.
Many Blessings,
Connie
