Please Pray for our friend Mindi Schneider’s Daddy, Ralph McCoy

The following is an update on Ralph McCoy’s medical condition from his daughter Mindi Schneider.

Mindi has been a friend of mine for over 30 years! She was on my staff at WFRN Christian Radio in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana. Ralph had major heart surgery on November 27th.

As of today, Mindi says that Ralph is out of ICU and into a step down unit. He is still retaining fluid. He is hoping to go home by the end of the week. Please pray that the water retention and his cold go away.

Here is what Mindi posted on Facebook the day prior to Ralph’s surgery:

Dear Facebook Prayer warriors, I am asking for prayer for my Dad, Ralph McCoy and his wife Diana Davis Stivers-McCoy.

Tomorrow morning before sunrise, my brother and I are going with them to the hospital. My dad is having Open Heart surgery for the 3rd time in his life. Since an April meeting with an expert surgeon, Dad has had many tests to overcome. He passed them all with flying colors.

The surgery tomorrow is in depth. The surgeon is replacing a valve and fixing other items. Technology has greatly advanced. The Spirit of Jesus and guidance by the Father is needed.

Please pray for the following:

1. 1. My dad – He is excited for more years, a better quality of health, and more years of loving Christ centered marriage to Diana.
   2. Diana – Pray for peace beyond understanding, strength for tomorrow, patience in helping my dad recover, and protection over her health to stay well as we enter flu season.
   3. All of the kids and grandchildren – My heart is filled with the love shown from all of Diana’s family who adore him, too.
   4. The operating room – That Jesus’ Spirit would fill the space with His presence and guide the mind and hands of all who care for my dad.
   5. The surgeon – The Father’s touch be in his fingers to guide them perfectly for needs to be accomplished.
   6. The nursing staff – Being acutely and keenly aware of all my dad’s monitors to allow him to be watched over in a Divine way.
   7. For travel mercies – For Diana and her family, as travel is needed to be near my dad.
   8. For finances – That Jesus would provide beyond what they need only in a way to know it’s all HIM.
   9. Trust – For me and all of us, to know Jesus has a plan. Pray His Will be done.
   10. Recovery – That recovery time is on the shorter end of the range we’ve been given for so many reasons.

Hurricane Helene caused a month long delay in surgical resources leading us up to tomorrow. This was a blessing, as it gave Dad and Diana time to celebrate their 11th wedding Anniversary.

Pray for our anxious hearts. We know dad is in Our Father’s Hands.
