All Israel News reports that the sudden collapse of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad regime has exposed divisions between old-guard commanders and the younger generations within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (“IRGC”).
A Western diplomat with years of experience in the Middle East recently told the British Telegraph that “Iran’s informal empire, its network of influence, is, by historical standards, collapsing very fast. An emergency recalibration is now under way in Tehran.” IRGC commanders, reportedly, do not want to accept blame for collapse of the al-Assad regime.
According to Kasra Aarabi, Director, IRGC Research, United Against Nuclear Iran (“UANI”), “[t]hings heated up after more and more IRGC commanders and partners were killed by Israel in response to [the Hamas October 7, 2023 attack against Israel]. The younger gens began questioning the competence and commitment of their seniors.” Younger IRGC operatives have even accused IRGC commanders of colluding with Israel’s Mossad following the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

My brothers and sisters, Iran’s regional influence is waning as the so-called ‘Axis of Resistance’ has suffered another setback with the collapse of the al-Assad regime in Syria. This serves as a great reminder to all of those who reject the one true God and the only way to salvation, Jesus, that light overcomes and destroys darkness!
Satan lost the battle when Jesus submitted himself to death on the cross of Calvary to provide salvation to all mankind – at least for those who are willing to accept Jesus’ sacrifice as the propitiation for our sin.
Like rats on a sinking ship, the evil-minded are scurrying and the blame game has begun; however, what needs to be acknowledged is that the truth is found in Jesus, not in the hate and lies of Satan, and the companionship between fools.
The Bible reminds us that Iran’s hatred against the West, and most especially the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, puts Iran in mortal danger, as the Jews are God’s chosen people:
Deuteronomy 7:6 (NKJV)
“For you [the Jews] are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”
Psalm 132:13 (NKJV)
“For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place…”.
The Bible makes it clear that those who are prideful and choose to walk with fools will be destroyed:
Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV)
“He who walks with wise men will be wise, [b]ut the companion of fools will be destroyed.”
Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV)
“Pride goes before destruction, [a]nd a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Proverbs 21:15 (ESV)
“When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”
The Bible also tells us that those who call evil good, and good evil, should be afraid, and that Jesus is the light of the world:
Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; [w]ho put darkness for light, and light for darkness [emphasis mine]; [w]ho put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
John 3:19-20 (ESV)
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”
John 8:12 (NKJV)
Jesus is the Light of the World
“Then Jesus [speaking to the scribes and Pharisees] spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’”
