When anxious thoughts fill your mind.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy”

Psalm 94:19

Anxiety comes in like a flood of grief. When you least expect it or when you’re fully aware it’s on its way.

It can last for minutes or months. It will steal your joy and peace and keep you from praising or seeking God.

Because if the evil one, anxiety and fear will seek to control you and then destroy you. Sometimes anxiety can be passed on throughout generations, which is very difficult to get rid of, but not impossible if we seek God wholeheartedly.

What can we do to ward off this silent monster that’s holding you captive?

First, we must seek God through prayer and petition with thanksgiving.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:6

Then through his Word; Read, learn and memorize your scripture. And when you’re starting to feel anxiety rear it’s ugly head, quote the scripture over and over!

Then we worship God. Worship and worry cannot exist together in the same heart. When you focus on one, the other diminishes.

Always choose worship over worry, and your worries will decrease.

We must learn to trust God and turn our worries and anxieties over to Him.

“Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you”

1 Peter 5:7

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9

“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Philippians 4:8

“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble”

Matthew 6:34

“I want you to be free from anxieties.”

1 Corinthians 7:32

When anxious thoughts fill your mind, RUN to God!

We cannot change one single thing by needlessly worrying. But we can do wonders by giving all our cares to God. He’s got big shoulders, let him carry your load.

Many Blessing’s,

Connie
