YEAR IN REVIEW: 2024 Stories of Significance

So many Christian radio/tv stations do not do local and national news for their audience. NO NEWS STAFF! To much entertainment and not enough 'meat and potatoes'. Of course, I understand that I am old to this world, an old preacher and news reporter from the late 70's. We are here at FGGAM strive to bring you a Biblical Worldview of the events around the world 24/7.

Sharon and I met Amy in Laramie, Wyoming a year ago so on a Great Commission trip. Amy’s family is growing. Glory to God! We love this family. We love sharing JESUS and carrying out The Great Commission. Here is what Amy wrote on Facebook: Today my little family received this bible in the mail. And I am so excited to get diving into it. Bubba and I have decided that we are going to read a chapter a night.
Thank you Dewey and Sharon! We love you both!

I am sure thankful for the Baptist Press. I pray that more denominations would have a news staff like the Southern Baptists do. It is such a great service to mankind. It saddens me that so many Christian radio/tv stations do not do local and national news for their audience. NO NEWS STAFF! To much entertainment and not enough ‘meat and potatoes’. Of course, I understand that I am old to this world, an old preacher and news reporter from the late 70’s. We are here at FGGAM strive to bring you a Biblical Worldview of the events around the world 24/7. When I was a manager at WFRM Christian radio in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana, the late Owner Ed Moore, put me in charge of the news department. We had at one time 5 local reporters. WFRN is a flame thrower for JESUS, 50,000 watts of power for our LORD! Ed Moore was committed to have solid local and national news for WFRN listeners! We had the best newsman in radio at that time Marv Boone! When I moved to KKIM in Albuquerque we had the best newsman at that time , the late Frank Haley! The LORD has always shown me to bring the news from HIS perspective, a BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW. We are not perfect, but we do your best for our LORD! I am nearly 70 now, and the LORD says, GO FORTH! YOU ARE NOT DONE! I am thankful for my partner in ministry Chuck Akeley, he is such a godsend! Glory! Chuck helps keep this old guy going!

NASHVILLE (BP) – The last few years, we’ve had a “staff favorites” story at the end of the year – typically a collection of warm, fuzzy, heart-warming pieces.

This year is a bit different. Don’t get us wrong. There is still plenty to warm the cockles of any crusty Baptist heart in the mentions below. But we also felt that we helped tell a lot of beautiful, touching stories this year that we hesitated to call “favorites” because maybe they had to do with illness or war or even death.

So we called them “stories of significance.” We asked our major contributors to list theirs and to talk about what made them special. Following those lists are some honorable mentions. Here

Here is one of our top news reports this week: HORRIFIC! STUPID! Suspects in Albuquerque police shooting tied to 45 arrests
