In the presence of Jehovah.

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

Isaiah 6:1

Although we cannot see God face to face now, when we get to heaven, we will definitely see Jehovah.

What an amazing thought that is.

“I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake I shall be satisfied, beholding your likeness”

Psalm 17:15

Many times we live our life on this earth without even a thought of eternity. We constantly make plans for our future, retirement and vacations, but often times, we don’t make plans for where we’ll spend eternity.

I’ve heard it said so many times that people will wait until “closer to the end of life,” meaning when they get much, much older or even “somewhere down the road” they’ll think about where they will spend eternity.

The problem with that is, none of us are guaranteed tomorrow, so we should live each day like it’s our last. Rejoicing with the Lord, loving the Lord, serving the Lord and Repentance.

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

John 3:3

He said that he came that we would have life and have it to the fullest… He came that we would have a full abundant life, but we must prepare and be ready to meet Christ face to face.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:10

Never take for granted that just because you’re “nice” and do “good deeds,” that it secures your spot in heaven.

God will not wink at sin. He is merciful and long-suffering, but the time is coming when his patience with your sin will end.

Always examine your life, then repent of your sins, stay in the word of God reading scripture daily… after all, that’s how you’ll get to know him personally.

And always submit your life totally to God.

I believe that everything we go through in this life (good, bad or trials) is actually preparing us for eternity. The Bible says,

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold — though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world”

1 Peter 1:6-7

In Matthew 25, the parable of the 10 virgins, we’re told that they were not prepared for the Bridegroom, which signifies Christ. They let the oil in their lamps run out.

In this parable, the oil-filled lamps symbolize the Holy Spirit, which lights the way for the saints. The church members who are looking for the Bridegroom to come are represented by the oil in their lamps.

But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, nor the Son, except the Father only.

Matthew 24:36

We must be ready for Christ’s return. And continuing to do what Jesus taught in scripture.

Many Blessings,

Connie
