Team Jesus, let us pray for the winds to go down and that the firefighters gain control of these massive fires. We are also praying for the safety of all. Lord have mercy! Praying for all that are in harms way! Please stop right now and pray for all of the firefighters that are risking their lives fighting these fires!

We have reports of wind gusts up to 99 mph!

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A windstorm that forecasters described as potentially destructive and life-threatening is impacting a large swath of Southern California, dramatically raising the risk of wildfires for the next several days. Firefighters are battling a fire in the foothills of Pacific Palisades, a Los Angeles coastal neighborhood. Another brush fire erupted in the evening in the Eaton Canyon area near Altadena, prompting mandatory evacuations. Then late Tuesday night, the Hurst Fire erupted in the Sylmar area.

A Firemen’s Glove

Pastor Jerry McCullah leads us in prayer……..

The LORD moved me to declare this new year, 2025, as the year of Effectual Prayer based on James 5:16, “The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much,” to my church and all churches or persons who will accept the challenge.   I believe we are already beginning to see why deeper, more heart felt, and continued prayers for this year may be necessary.

We are on day two of devastating fires in the L.A. and other Southern California areas since these hard Santa Ana winds have begun.  Three major fires have been racing through heavily populated areas.  These fires, the Palisades, Eaton, and the Hearst fire have evacuated more than 80,000 residents, some on foot.   So many homes have been lost, too many to keep up with the numbers.  At the time of this writing, two persons have died because of these fires, and that is two too many!

This morning a fourth fire joined the fight against human life and home life, the Woodley fire is now on the move.

It was reported last night at about 3am, that the Palisades area fire hydrants went dry.  Firefighters locally are working at full force and crews from many miles away and even other states are traveling to join forces.  California needs Supernatural help.  California needs the Supernatural Helper, Elohim Shomri, God our Protector; Jehovah Nissi, the LORD our Banner of protection, leadership, and deliverance; Jehovah Jireh, the LORD our Provider.  These are just a few of the descriptive names for our Creator God.  California needs God! And I suspect many fearful persons are on their knees before God in this major crisis.   It is their prayers that I pray in agreement.

My purpose is to pray here, but more than that, my purpose is to challenge believers from everywhere to join the fight on your knees before a God Who hears and cares for these desperate people in their time of great need.  Oh, the families!  Oh, the children!  Oh, the tremendous fear!

Father, the multitudes of all ages and economic positions desperately need Your Supernatural, Divine intervention in these perilous days.  LORD, we cry out to You for calming of the winds, and Your ability to bring these fires under control.  We thank You for those who are risking life to help others in need; won’t You please protect them from harm, give them strength, and a sense of fearlessness in their work.  LORD, multitudes of people are suddenly homeless, we ask for You to show the way of provision.  May Your angels work to save all life at risk.  I call upon Jehovah Shalom, the LORD our Peace to place an umbrella of Divine Peace over this land ablaze with fire, and ablaze with out-of-control fear.  We place our trust in You for rescue and provision, in Jesus Name, Amen!

Beloved Believer, Churches, accept the challenge to pray effectual, fervent, prayers for this need, for the rest of this year of unknown needs, and forever, until Jesus comes!  Amen, even so, come LORD Jesus!   Pray On!
