Prayers for Washington, D. C.
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Today America and beyond mourns the loss of lives from the accident that happened in Washington D.C. We look for words to console those who have lost loved ones. An accident that we pray never happens again in our nation.
Today, let’s pray for these families and friends that have lost loved ones. May the God of comfort touch their heart today and bring them peace. God is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in time of trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Father, your Word tells us that you are close to the broken hearted and those crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we pray today you will draw close the families and friends left behind from this tragedy. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4). Bring comfort today, oh God, as only the Good Father can.
Father, sometimes the words come hard, but we keep looking to the hills from where our help cometh. Our help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2).
Father, we pray for a hedge of protection in the skies today, as well as on the land and sea. Together all across this globe we pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Enjoy your day beautiful people, the day will not circle around again. (Psalm 118:24) For in him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28)
