The Associated Press (“AP News”) reports that Matthew Livelsberger (37), a highly-decorated member of the U.S. Army since 2006, was identified as the person who died inside the Tesla Cybertruck on Wednesday (1/1/2025) when the vehicle exploded at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Yesterday (1/2/2025), a Clark County (Colorado) coroner’s autopsy revealed that Livelsberger died by a self-inflicted gunshot (suicide) prior to the vehicle’s explosion. A law enforcement official told AP News that Livelsberger may have had a fight with his wife shortly before he rented the Tesla and bought the guns discovered in the charred remains of the vehicle.
Livelsberger served in the Green Berets and had a long career of overseas assignments, including two deployments to Afghanistan and service in Ukraine, Tajikistan, Georgia and the Congo. He was awarded five Bronze Stars, including one with a valor device for courage under fire, a combat infantry badge and an Army Commendation Medal with valor.

My brothers and sisters, mainstream news organizations and the U.S. federal government are continuing to seek answers that might connect this tragic vehicle explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck at the Trump International Hotel with U.S. Army veteran Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s evil, ISIS-inspired attack killing at least 15 persons on New Year’s Day in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In fact, the Federal Bureau of Investigation now asserts that Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S Army veteran who intentionally drove a pickup truck into a crowd celebrating New Year’s Day in New Orleans, Louisiana, killing 15 persons and opening fire on police, likely acted alone – despite Jabbar’s previously posted social media videos showing he was inspired by the Islamic State group.
We have entered a season where the influence of Satan is becoming more and more obvious, following what has been years of intense political turmoil in the United States. As believers, we need to be the voice of reason and restraint, seeking the Lord first, in ALL MATTERS, and always in prayer.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)
Confidence and Compassion in Prayer
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
There will always be plenty of things in life to be upset about(!), but as believers, we have God on our side and there is no need to fret. God is for us, not against us. We are made in the very image and likeness of God. We have the word of God (Bible) to guide us. We have the Holy Spirit living within us, helping us to know the truth, maintain self control and to rightly judge (discern) the difference between good and evil. We are the children of God. We have the mind of Christ. We have the assurance of eternal life in the presence of Almighty God. Jesus is our Healer. According to the Bible, we have the authority, in the name of Jesus, to bind evil and loose blessings on earth and in heaven. In other words, we have NOTHING TO FEAR!
Matthew 18:18-20 (NKJV)
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again[,] I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
