I was talking with a friend a couple of weeks ago that the GOP should have had Jay Block run for governor in the last election. My friend, who is a Christian TV host, agreed. Running Mark Ronchetti was a huge mistake by the GOP. It was very embarrassing for the Republicans to lose to the worst governor I have have seen in my life. So many people speak so very highly of Mr. Block. Will he run for governor?
Needless to say, New Mexico state government has much waste. I have been witness to this waste, corruption and cronyism since we moved here in 1995. For you younger folks, cronyism is the appointment of friends and associates to positions of authority, without proper regard to their qualifications. CYFD comes to mind.
Can New Mexico begin a new life? The GOP desperately needs new and much better leadership; Jay Block is a great start. More great news: I do not think you will see Mr. Block ever standing on a stage with a chain saw and acting like a clown. That is crazy stuff, right? Very embarrassing. Not acceptable in my Biblical Worldview.
KOAT TV REPORTS: Republican state Senator Jay Block is proposing a Department of Government Efficiency office in New Mexico – otherwise known as “DOGE”. New Mexico Senate Bill 484 would create the government accountability to taxpayer office (“GATO”) as an adjunct agency.
