“Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.”

Psalm 25:5

I believe that one of the reason God make us wait is not only to strengthen our faith in Him and to properly prepare us for what He is making us wait for, but to also develop the fruit of patience in us.

God’s people have always be a waiting people and that’s alright!

When I was a child I remember waiting for my birthday, months in advance. It felt like it took forever to come around. During that time of waiting It was sometimes torture, but on that special day it was worth the wait.

We wait for so many things in our life time and I believe it’s “God’s teaching moments.”

God’s goodness is promised for those who wait on Him. Regardless of how hopeless things appear.

“God is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to his power at work within us”

Ephesians 3:20.

When we wait for him, He will never disappoint. So, when He has you wait, you need to trust that He has a good reason for it.

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

To wait on God’s answer in prayer is an essential part of our walk with God.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”

Psalm 27:14

“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”

Lamentations 3:25

So, when we feel as though the Lord does not see or hear us or that He’s not answering our prayers, it’s during these moments we can put our complete faith and trust in our Sovereign Lord!

Be Blessed as you wait,

Connie
