Needless to say, trying to bring peace to any war is very difficult. Ukraine DID NOT START THE WAR! It was Russia who invaded Ukraine.
The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24, 2022 was the expansion of a war between the two countries that had begun in February 2014, when disguised Russian troops covertly invaded and took control of the Ukrainian autonomous republic of Crimea. Following Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity, Russia occupied and annexed Crimea from Ukraine and supported pro-Russian separatists fighting the Ukrainian military in the Donbas War. These first eight years of conflict also included naval incidents and cyberwarfare.
Know your history folks! Do not simply go on emotions! I guess that both Presidents Trump and Putin have chosen to disregard the promise made to Ukraine in 1994: In January 1994, the U.S., Russia and Ukraine issued an historic Trilateral Statement that promised security assurances to Ukraine once the START I Treaty entered into force, and Ukraine became a non-nuclear weapons state and a party to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty.
Can the world no longer trust America?
I understand the need to end the war! War is hell! One of my best friends died in the Vietnam War, Roger Carey of Windom, Minnesota. My dad served as a sergeant in the U.S, Marine Corps during WWII, as did five of his brothers.
There are strong feeling on all sides about the war between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the war with Israel and Hamas. President Trump is trying to end these wars, which have gone on too long.

RIYADH, Feb 18, 2025 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration said on Tuesday (2/18/2024) it had agreed to hold more talks with Russia on ending the war in Ukraine after an initial meeting that excluded Kyiv – a departure from Washington’s previous approach which rallied U.S. allies to isolate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As the 4-1/2-hour meeting in the Saudi Arabian capital was underway, Russia hardened its demands, notably insisting it would not tolerate the NATO alliance granting membership to Ukraine. More Here

This is a ‘must read’ article. I am HORRIFIED at what is happening with Ukraine and Russia. The Associated Press is reporting this morning that “[a]t a news conference Tuesday, Trump showed little patience for Ukraine’s objections to being excluded from the [recent security] talks [in Saudi Arabia]. He also said, without providing the source, that Zelenskyy’s approval rating stood at 4%, while telling reporters that Ukraine ‘should have never started’ the war and ‘could have made a deal’ to prevent it.'” I simply do not understand how an otherwise intelligent man, such as President Trump, could think that Ukraine “started” the war when the whole world observed Russia suddenly attack Ukraine in 2022, and hasn’t stopped attacking since! As Pastor Moede points out in this article, it was Russia which failed to uphold its ‘deal’ with Ukraine and the U.S. seems to be conveniently ignoring this. Pray for our leadership, that they see the evil of Putin and his war, and the thousands upon thousands of MURDERED war victims. This is not a ‘just war.’ It is a war of choice for Putin.
