We all know the expression of ‘speaking power to power’ and how it is most often used to mean something positive or overdue, well, the United States just put evil on notice. It escapes me how prior U.S. presidents, and most notably our most recent former president, Joe Biden, could be involved in ‘hot’ missile wars with an evil regime like Iran and not only refrain from calling them out (so to speak), but could continue to send them money and speak tepidly against the terrorist regime’s actions.
Well, Fox News reported yesterday (2/4/2025) that during President Donald J. Trump’s signing of an Executive Order imposing ‘maximum pressure’ against the Iranian government, Trump responded to a question from the press about the U.S. Department of Justice’s thwarting of an Iranian attempt to murder Trump prior to the General Election in November 2024.
In a show of fearlessness and power, Trump said that “if they did that, they [Iran] would be obliterated. That would be the end. … There won’t be anything left.”

My brothers and sisters, just like in our lives, we don’t ‘fight’ the evil one by compromise and cajoling. In fact, we aren’t to make deals with evil, period! Jesus is the Answer! The light always overcomes the darkness. I am thankful that there are no longer, at least seemingly, hidden or duplicitous agendas in United States’ foreign policy and that truth, whether one wants to hear it or not, is being spoken transparently. We have nothing to fear from the devil. He already lost the battle at the cross. Amen!
The Bible tells us that the evil one wishes destruction upon us and that we are to resist him and to submit to the authority of God:
Proverbs 15:3 (NKJV)
“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, [k]eeping watch on the evil and the good.”
Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; [w]ho put darkness for light, and light for darkness; [w]ho put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
John 10:10 (NKJV)
“The thief [the devil or Satan] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
James 4:7 (Amplified Bible)
“So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.”
