“If you have nothing but Christ, you have all, but if you have all things without Christ, you have nothing.” William Bridge 1600-1670.

I remember a few years ago when an evangelist and his family left New Mexico. Later on his wife would post on Facebook, “New Mexico is a tough state, we did our best.” Sharon and I understand that for sure. New Mexico is so very spiritually sick and does not get better, it just gets worse, despite the efforts of many good Christian men and women.

I stated a few days ago that after the legislative session this year in New Mexico nothing will change for the better here. I have lived here since 1995 and it just gets worse here. Property taxes go up, crime goes up, public education fails miserably year after year, child well-being in New Mexico is at or near the bottom in America every year, CYFD a very, very dysfunctional state agency continues to fail so badly. New Mexico is killing God’s babies through abortion and gunfire. The corruption here makes me so very sick.

If you are looking for drama, infighting, political grandstanding and interference from out-of-state special interests look to New Mexico.

New Mexico is so lost. Sharon and I love Wyoming, we have been there to carry out The Great Commission there and up into a bit Montana and to western South Dakota. Friends back home in Minnesota ask me time to time, “Dewey why do you and Sharon not move back home? Our dear friend and supporter, the late Dr. Mike Fisher asked me many times to move back home to Windom, Minnesota. I would always tell Mike, New Mexico is where God has us planted. God has told us to serve him here. It is very tough here, but God has us out and about sharing JESUS on the roads, byways, funerals, weddings, in Churches……and here at FGGAM. New Mexico needs Jesus very badly. I have learned over my lifetime to be where GOD SENDS YOU! Do not move without God telling you to do so. Its like when God called me out of KKIM Christian radio, I did not want to leave, I loved the ministry of KKIM and we had just bought a new house, but God sent three pastors into tell me I was to go our and preach the Word of God in New Mexico. It took me about 6 months to leave, things that were easy for me to do at KKIM became very difficult. Me and Sharon answered God’s call and He formed For God’s Glory Alone Ministries! Glory! 13 years young this August! Hallelujah!

It irks me to no end that we have a ‘sit-more-do-little’ legislature here. I did not even hear a whimper out of ther GOP about the governors 10 million dollar abortion facility in Las Cruces???!! Help me understand please! Do I have it right that the 10 million dollars is our tax money? If so, why did the GOP allow that to happen?

Why are you not giving us taxpayers a rebate check with your budget surplus? Why are you not cutting pour property taxes like Wyoming? Why is the NM GOP not leading the way on that??? Look at Wyoming, they have a very strong GOP party. Why does New Mexico have such a weak GOP?

How long do you think people on social security like me and Sharon can keep paying property taxes that keep going up every year???? 3% every year! At this point, the GOP and DEMS are no help to those of us that float the boat here! But they have feedbag everyday on us when in session.

The Wyoming Senate has passed what its leadership calls the largest property tax cut in Wyoming history.

Senate File 69 as passed on third reading Tuesday would slash taxes by 50% and offer no backfill money for local schools and governments. The bill passed on a 23-8 vote and now moves on to the House. The House already passed is own version of this bill on Jan. 23.

In a statement handed out as the bill was being voted on, Senate President Bo Biteman, R-Ranchester, said the bill sends a message to Wyoming voters they will get real action on property taxes instead of political grandstanding and out-of-state influence. More Here
