Wednesday, I was blessed to have a talk with former Governor of New Mexico, Susana Martinez. It was great to see her. We did not always see eye-to-eye on things, but agreeing to disagree is a good thing. Lord knows we need more of it!
I told the governor that the GOP needs a better candidate for governor than what they had last time against Lujan Grisham. I told her the GOP needs better leadership period!
I also asked her about the abortion facility that Governor Lujan Grisham is building in Las Cruces. I asked her why the GOP is not raising cane about it. She shook her head in sadness. I asked her about ending abortion in New Mexico and once again she shook her head in sadness. I told her that a top GOP office holder said to me that abortion will never end here. I said that is a rotten attitude to have!
I told her she looks ready to run for governor herself! Who can break the DEMS control of New Mexico? I can tell you that when this session ends, nothing will improve in New Mexico. The GOP needs a shaking up or they will continue to lose the state. To lose the election to the worst governor I have ever seen, twice, is so very awful. It’s perhaps that worst failure I have seen from a political party. TWO TIMES!
