TRAGIC! Barna: America needs ‘spiritual renewal’ as fewer than half of Americans believe God exists

I have come to inflict the comfortable and comfort the inflicted.

I have been reporting on the downfall of Christianly in America for years! The Church in America is failing to reach the lost. The greatest failure of the America Church in the last decade is in not carrying out The Great Commission. I have called on Americans to repent and change their behavior. JUST 4% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview, now less than half of Americans believe in God! America is full of Church pep rallies, lots of noise, no change in behavior, no repentance.

Abortions continue here in New Mexico. Corruption runs rampant, murders, drugs, gangs, poverty, booze, gambling, last in education, and we’re near the bottom in child-well being. Look around America, it’s not only New Mexico, it’s all over America. We are a mess.

People are seeing how ineffective the American Church has become. Many see there is no reason to go to Church. Many have their own way on how to worship, like watching football, stock car races and other activities. We are seeing a complete breakdown of the American society.

As I look at the world every morning from 2:00 to 4:00 AM, I see ugly. The tragic thing is that so many Christians hide from the truth. Many are asleep – they do not want to be bothered by this failure. They keep doing the same thing and getting the same poor results.

Speak to world events from a Biblical Worldview. Get out of your walls and comfort zone, carry out The Great Commission. Build bridges of love and trust with an unbelieving America. Do you not see the downfall of the American society? It’s way more political than Christian.

The Christian Post Reports: A new survey has found that more than half of Americans do not believe God exists or that He “affects lives,” prompting one prominent researcher to highlight the need for “sweeping national repentance and spiritual renewal.”

How about it Pastor and congregants, get off of Facebook and hit the streets and share JESUS! I see too many Churches with poor attendance. YOU’RE NOT CARRYING OUT THE GREAT COMMISSION!

I do not know my own country now. It has gone political. Many treat politicians like they are gods. There is only one God, but then, as we see, many Americans have kicked God to the curb.

Got Questions states: The word repentance in the Bible literally means “the act of changing one’s mind.” True biblical repentance goes beyond remorse, regret, or feeling bad about one’s sin. It involves more than merely turning away from sin. Eerdmans Bible Dictionary includes this definition of repentance: “In its fullest sense it is a term for a complete change of orientation involving a judgment upon the past and a deliberate redirection for the future.”

In the Old Testament, repentance, or wholehearted turning to God, is a recurring theme in the message of the prophets. Repentance was demonstrated through rituals such as fasting, wearing sackcloth, sitting in ashes, wailing, and liturgical laments that expressed strong sorrow for sin. These rituals were supposed to be accompanied by authentic repentance, which involved a commitment to a renewed relationship with God, a walk of obedience to His Word, and right living. A Pastor friend told me this week that America is under judgement, it’s right before our eyes. We are a very troubled nation – have been for years and years, and it’s getting worse. The wrath of God is a consequence of human actions that are against God’s will and character. That is America right there.
