The Christian Post reports that Arizona Christian University’s Cultural Research Center (“CRC”) released the latest report of its American Worldview Inventory series, which may be viewed or downloaded HERE, and which documents Americans’ views on the Trinity. The research is based on responses collected from 2,100 adults in January 2025.
The results show that slightly more than 1 in 10 respondents (11%) believe in the Trinity, meaning that the God of the Bible is “three distinct but inseparable and equal persons in one infinite Being” (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Belief in the Trinity increases to 16% among self-identified Christians, 24% among theologically-identified born-again Christians and 62% among Integrated Disciples (meaning those who hold a Biblical Worldview).
In response to the survey results, CRC Director of Research, Dr. George Barna, stated that “[e]ven the statistics for the groups that are most in-tune with biblical teachings, such as belief in the nature and impact of the Trinity, are shockingly low for a nation in which most people claim to be Christian.”

My brothers and sisters, centuries of theological research and study by the ‘experts’ will not be resolved in this article(!), but suffice it to say that this writer, and FGGAM, stands firm in the belief that based upon clear scriptural support in the Bible, “there is only one God, and He has chosen to reveal Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.”
Dr. Barna’s reference to many in America leaning toward secular podcasters for spiritual guidance and his comment about churches often choosing to teach scripture in a series-based approach that may fail to effectively develop an integrated Biblical Worldview within the church, shouts loudly to this writer!
The world needs Jesus! Let’s pray that true, unwavering, unapologetic faith in the Bible will return in great numbers, leading to needed change in society. Holding a Biblical Worldview is essential to the Christian faith, and allows those who name Jesus as Lord to walk victoriously in this sinful world, where many believe that faith in Jesus is some sort of ‘fairy tale’ or a ‘crutch’ for the weak-minded person. Lord, have mercy!
As believers, let’s remember that Jesus is always faithful and true; He will never forsake us!
1 Corinthians 1:9 (Amplified Bible)
“God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on], and through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
