“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Galatians 1:10

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Once we start comparing ourselves or our lives to that of others, we immediately lose our joy. It’s a form of dissatisfaction with what God has already provided us.

But once we align our spirit with Christ’s, we’ll then begin to see our insecure thoughts fade, like a dim light in the rear view mirror.

“Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.”

2 Corinthians 10:12

“A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot.”

Proverbs 14:30

Comparison breeds anxiety. And we’d do well to remember we are all fearfully and wonderfully made, uniquely and on purpose.

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

Psalm 139:14

Jealousy and comparison go hand-in-hand and can lead to a chaotic life.

“Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.”

James 3:16

We are made special by God. He created us in his image and we’re perfect!

Many Blessings,

Connie
