Fox News reports that Iran’s currency hit a new low today (4/5/2025) with one U.S. dollar costing 1,043,000 Iranian rials, and it could fall even further as global tensions rise.  The White House announced on February 4, 2025 that President Donald J. Trump was restoring maximum pressure on Iran, with a focus on blocking the Islamic Republic from attaining a nuclear weapon.

During a recent joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Secretary of State Marco A. Rubio stated:

“[Iran] is the single greatest source of instability in the region.  Behind every terrorist group, behind every act of violence, behind every destabilizing activity, behind everything that threatens peace and stability for the millions of people who call this region home, is Iran.”

My brothers and sisters, it astounds me that we live in an age when a rogue country such as Iran, which has been well established as the world’s leading sponsor and actor of international terrorism (for multiple decades), and given the threat of Iran developing a nuclear weapon and the means to project such weaponry to other countries, has been seemingly allowed to stand – or at least to continue without an overt destruction of such capabilities.

President Trump is making headway on this front, with economic sanctions and whatever other secret military actions that may be underway, but why would any American President, specifically the last two Democrat presidents, Obama and Biden, feel the need to reward the Iranian government with money and removal of sanctions, etc.?  Neither Iran’s nor Russia’s governments are likely to ever become ‘friends’ of the United States, as we stand for liberty and self-government – which is the antithesis of Sharia law and communism.

The international community, including Western nations, has witnessed Iran recently take two separate and direct acts of war against Israel with ballistic missiles, which it seems to this writer, would have resulted in the immediate ‘bunker busting’ destruction of Iran’s nuclear programs and related facilities not that many years ago.

Russia, with its communist government and as the United States’ Cold War enemy, continues to murder civilian men, women and children, and to destroy civilian targets in its so-called “special operation” in Ukraine, without any direct intervention from Western nations.

What has changed?  Is the entire world now so risk-averse that even when a military action would be morally justified and all other attempts to bring the offender under control have failed, there is no apparent will to take a more direct action?  How much is a human life worth?  Well, Jesus made that clear when He willingly, albeit painfully beyond our imagination, took the sin of the world and died upon the cross of Calvary!

You may criticize me for saying this, though I’ll still sleep well tonight – war must be the action of last resort; however, when thrust into war, a country must fight to win, not to prove a point or reach a stalemate and erroneously call that ‘victory.’

If you honestly think about it, when was the last time the United States entered a war and fought it to conclusion, with the offending nation(s) formally acknowledging defeat and allowing the victor to establish the terms of surrender and to require necessary political changes to prevent rearming and continued destabilization?  I’ll tell you.  It was when Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces (U.S.) at the end of WWII.  And guess what, the U.S. substantially helped to rebuild the damaged cities of its enemies, in both the European and the Pacific Theaters – just like it didn’t ‘steal’ Iraq’s oil revenues and take land after the Gulf War.

I pray that Iran, through the direct prayers of Christian believers and through God’s willingness to allow the political pressures currently being put in place against Iran’s government, will come to its senses, and begin to see that the Truth is a Person and His name is Jesus!

John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to [Thomas], ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

Please always remember that neither myself nor FGGAM would speak against the people of Iran, who are loved by God just like you and me, and who are also made in the image and likeness of God, but who suffer right along with those with whom Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei hates because of a false religion.

John 17:20-23 (NKJV)
Jesus Prays to the Father – The Father Loves Us Just Like He Loves Jesus
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me [emphasis mine].”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
