The Christian Post reports that a female inmate in the State of Maine was forced to live with a man in a women’s prison facility, prompting the Trump administration to pull funding, this week, from the Maine Department of Corrections.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi identified the biological male as Andrew Balcer, who was sentenced to 40 years in prison in December 2018 for the double murder of his parents on October 31, 2016. During the murders, Balcer also stabbed the family dog to keep it from barking.
During a Fox & Friends interview this week, AG Bondi announced the Trump administration’s decision to pull non-essential funding from the Maine Department of Corrections. Although she didn’t provide an exact amount of the funding to be withdrawn, it was reported to be potentially more than $1.5 million.

My brothers and sisters, the evil one has gripped the minds of so many, that even what most God-fearing Christians would consider to be plain-old common sense, let alone Biblical truth, is ignored, even in the face of million-dollar fines!
The State of Maine is seemingly going through a period where its elected and high-ranking appointed officials are doubling down on evil – as witnessed by the recent ‘spat’ between Maine’s Governor Janet Mills and U.S. President Donald J. Trump over the state’s insistence on allowing biological males to compete in sports against females in public schools – again, despite the loss of federal funds to the state.
This writer was born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine, which I miss dearly; however, I have heard and noticed in local newspaper articles that, like in so many towns across America, there seems to be a marijuana dispensary on every street corner! Lord have mercy…
Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit opens the eyes and hearts of those in school and government leadership in Maine, and across the nation, to the wisdom of God and the truth of the Bible. The answer to our problems, whether we choose to believe it or not, is Jesus. The Truth is a Person and His name is Jesus!
