Pastor Steve Stucker Health Update

Pastor Steve Stucker: From the start of my diagnosis over three years ago, my number one request has been for the Holy Spirit to show me how to use this situation to glorify our Lord Jesus. I’ve seen that happen from the get-go!

Team Jesus, please continue praying for Pastor Steve for complete healing from cancer! We love you, Pastor! We praise God for this encouraging report! All Glory to God!

Here is a health update from Pastor Steve:

THANKS for checking in on me Pastor Dewey! Just completed some very thorough scans test and consultations with the team at MD Anderson in Houston. Spent hours inside some gigantic, high tech medical devices! While showing some growth, the cancer has not spread outside the margins of the organ. That’s great news and gives me some good options to pursue.

After three years of active surveillance, it’s necessary to take some action. I had originally scheduled a surgery for March 3rd. Following an unexpected conversation with a Beekeeper I know, I cancelled the surgery and looked into a treatment he received three years ago at MD Anderson, which he recommended highly. We are now planning on a return visit to ND Anderson in June, God willing, for the procedure that will keep me there only 3-4 days. That’s much quicker than the 2-4-6 week recovery with surgery. It should eliminate most/all the after effects & lifestyle changes the surgery usually brings.

After lots of deep prayer, that the Lord guided to become increasingly specific along the journey, this procedure and this particular Doctor, seem like beautiful answers to my dilemma.

From the start of my diagnosis over three years ago, my number one request has been for the Holy Spirit to show me how to use this situation to glorify our Lord Jesus. I’ve seen that happen from the get-go! I’m amazed at the unexpected way this alternative all came to be, and am praising our great God endlessly. I’m confident this experience will eventually produce several strong sermons about taking our deepest desires to Jesus in prayer!

God Bless and Happy Easter, Steve Stucker
