Winds speeds up to 60 mph are hitting parts of New Mexico today with the same predicted for Sunday. Firefighters are on the scene of a 2,000 acre wildfire between Lordsburg and Deming, New Mexico. I-10 is closed from the Arizona border to just outside Mesilla and Las Cruces, New Mexico because of blowing dust and sometimes zero visibility. On the west side of Albuquerque, where we live, we have a steady wind speed of 37 pmh with gusts up to over 50 mph as of 6:30pm.
