Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Something to ponder this day…………..
Pastor Leonard and Diana Navarre of Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, New Mexico celebrate 44 years of marriage today! This couple is a shining light for Jesus Christ. I was so blessed 5 years ago when Pastor Don Kimbro told me you have got to call this Pastor in Edgwood and interview him about his trip to India. Ever since that first conversation we have become best friends. It is a blessing to have best friends. They see you through thick and thin. Leonard and Diana celebrate today 44 years of marriage as they continue to serve our Lord, serve their family, their many grandchildren, the people of Valley View Christian Church and all those around them. This couple stand’s in the gap for everything Godly. They counsel many. Let us today hold Leonard and Diana up before our Lord and give thanks for this Godly couple! In Jesus name Amen!
Just one more note about Leonard……I cannot stress to you all enough to have Godly mentor’s, an accountability group around you. When people fall,, one of the reasons is that they did not have a STRONG accountability group around them, where every thing is shared! Do you have an accountability group? Pastor Leonard stressed this to me in one of our very first meetings!

Here is a FUNNY BONE FOR your Friday!
A Baptist preacher and his wife decided to get a new dog. Ever mindful of the congregation, they knew the dog must also be a Baptist. They visited kennel after kennel and explained their needs. Finally, they found a kennel whose owner assured them he had just the dog they wanted. The owner brought the dog to meet the pastor and his wife.
“Fetch the Bible,” he commanded. The dog bounded to the bookshelf, scrutinized the books, located the Bible, and brought it to the owner. “Now find Psalm 23,” he commanded. The dog placed the Bible on the floor and showing marvelous dexterity with his paws, leafed through and finding the correct passage, pointed to it with his paw. The pastor and his wife were very impressed and purchased the dog.
That evening, a group of church members came to visit. The pastor and his wife began to show off the dog, having him locate several Bible verses. The visitors were very impressed. One man asked, “Can he do regular dog tricks, too?”
“I haven’t tried yet,” the pastor replied. He pointed his finger at the dog. “HEEL!” the pastor commanded.
The dog immediately jumped on a chair, placed one paw on the pastor’s forehead and began to howl.
The pastor looked at his wife in shock and said, “Good Lord! He’s Pentecostal

August 2, 2013. Walking in agreement is most important. The very smallest benefit of agreement is that two people agree on their direction. Otherwise, there is friction waiting to engage you every step of the way. It is best to take time in the beginning of any relationship to determine both what is the direction and also on who is in charge. Men are especially aware of the wisdom of clarification in the beginning concerning who will be the leader. That clarity sweetens a relationship and makes the agreed upon journey peaceful and enjoyable.

August 2, 2013. Hiding in the familiar is not helpful. What you need to be doing is hiding in Me. I am the one who knows all things. You can’t fix what is going on. I am the only one who can fix the problems. There is not just one problem. There are many. In the past, you have been amazed at the tapestry I weave. I can also unravel the problems that have knotted the tapestry. If you need to do something I will let you know. My child, rest in Me.

August 2, 2013. Cover one another. Do everything within your own power to conceal grievances among yourselves. Too often brothers and sisters in Christ are the first to uncover another believer’s wrongdoing. Unfortunately many people take pride in divulging private matters in public places. Though you may see it as unimaginable, try placing yourself in the so-called perpetrators position. Scathing looks and barbed words would only heighten the matter. Rise above the fray. Be the mature one and live your life full of unending grace. Forgiveness and mercy are what I am all about.
