Druze sources told the Jerusalem Post on Monday that they are deeply concerned for their brethren in Syria as the various forces battling the Assad regime, especially the Islamic State terror militia (IS) appear to be quickly gaining ground in the conflict. Regime forces deployed to protect Druze villages in the Syrian Golan Heights are weakening, according to the sources, raising concerns among Israel’s Druze community that they might soon need to flee, possibly to Israel.
