Netanyahu launches PR campaign in the US
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a media campaign in the US on Wednesday, aimed at encouraging US citizens to contact their elected officials and lobby against the deal announced on Tuesday regarding Iran’s renegade nuclear program. “They decided that they want to wipe Israel off the map,” Netanyahu said of the Iranian regime in an interview on CBS. “If somebody says, ‘I’m going to destroy you,’ you know, what you want to do is make sure they can’t.” He also gave interview to ABC, NBC andNational Public Radio, expressing similar sentiments.

Elsewhere, a senior Israeli official pushed back Wednesday against the scolding Israel received by British and German officials for expressing dissatisfaction with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) announced on Tuesday regarding Iran’s renegade nuclear program. “This criticism is coming from people directly involved in making the Vienna agreement, and they feel the need to defend it despite the fact that, as people study the agreement, it becomes clear that it is very problematic and full of holes,” the official said. He added that both Germany and Britain “are eager to pursue their economic interests in Iran.”
