Flooding in San Juan County New Mexico, Rainfall in Albuquerque could reach record levels!

downpourKOB TV News is reporting that Emergency personnel have asked residents of San Juan County New Mexico to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary due to flooding.

County officials ask residents to stay indoors and only call 911 in the event of an emergency.

Meanwhile rain has been falling in Albuquerque for most of the day!

The National Weather Service expects rainfall this week to make the record books in Albuquerque.

KOB TV reports that Albuquerque gets a little more than an inch of rain on average in September. But by Thursday, meteorologists predict the city will reach 1.75 inches of rain.

The NWS believes this September could be the wettest New Mexico has seen in years.
