Following a sharp rise in violent attacks against Israelis in Jerusalem and the West Bank over the weekend, including an attack which killed two Israelis and wounded two others in Jerusalem’s Old City Saturday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called an emergency meeting of the security cabinet Monday. Several new security measures were approved at the meeting, including “expediting the demolition of terrorists’ homes; expanding administrative detentions of rioters; and banning those engaged in incitement from the Old City and the Temple Mount,” according to a statement by the Prime Minister.
