In the past month we have seen destruction and devastation committed by the Islamic State as they have bombed Paris and Beirut, shot and beheaded untold thousands and threatened the world. What is the response of President Barack Obama, “the sky is falling.”
After meeting with French President Hollande on Tuesday, President Obama made a remarkable statement.
“I will be joining President Hollande and world leaders in Paris for the global climate conference,” Obama said during a joint news conference with French President Francois Hollande. “What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children.”
This reminds me of the classic children’s story of Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, and Turkey Lurkey.
You might remember that it all started with Chicken Little being struck on the head by a falling acorn. She intended to tell the King that the sky was falling and along the way she ran into each of her friends until finally the entire group met up with Foxy Loxy.
Of course, at this point Foxy Loxy was all too willing to lead these fine feathered friends to meet the king, but if you remember the story correctly they all entered Foxy’s den never to be seen again.
The climate change scam is much like the story of Chicken Little, people are concerned when a weather event hits too close to home and so they run to tell the king. And just like the story, there are some unsavory character to take advantage of the foolishness.
The Bible tells us to resist the devil and he will flee, the same is true of the Islamic state. If we would like to put an end to Islamic terrorism we must first recognize the truth, that the only way to stop evil, is to confront it.
