Franklin Graham is calling out Republicans for passing more than $1 trillion in spending and making Democrats look responsible by comparison. As one of America’s top Christian leaders, Graham is publicly leaving the Republican Party following the majority party’s continued funding of Planned Parenthood and it’s continued profiteering of innocent lives by the sale of their broken bodies.
Graham said the funding of Planned Parenthood was a huge loss for America, adding:
After all of the appalling facts revealed this year about Planned Parenthood, our representatives in Washington had a chance to put a stop to this, but they didn’t. There’s no question—taxpayers should not be paying for abortions! Abortion is murder in God’s eyes. Seeing and hearing Planned Parenthood talk nonchalantly about selling baby parts from aborted fetuses with utter disregard for human life is reminiscent of Joseph Mengele and the Nazi concentration camps! That should’ve been all that was needed to turn off the faucet for their funding. Nothing was done to trim this 2,000 page, $1.1 trillion budget. This is an example of why I have resigned from the Republican Party and declared myself Independent. I have no hope in the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or Tea Party to do what is best for America. Unless more godly men and women get in this process and change this wicked system, our country is in for trouble.
He further called on Christians who hold to biblical values, including pastors, to run for political office. This is something I very much agree with as the only way to retake America is for believers to once again hold public office for limited periods of time. The professional politician is responsible for much of America’s decay and decline not to mention the public funding of godless organizations like Planned Parenthood.
We can no longer trust the current leadership in the Republican or Democratic parties to run America as she should be run, they are but variations of the same godless ideologues bent on destroying the heart and soul of the United States. It is only when Christians operating under sound doctrine start to hold offices such as mayor, city council and the school board will we see a return to a prosperous America.
I am not talking about bringing the Kingdom of God by force or election but operating the government with a correct understanding of its role. This was how we founded the country and it is how we can return to better days.
