First let me say, I am encouraged beyond measure at the interest people are showing in the Presidential election this time. I have learned a lot about caucuses, primaries and exactly how the process is supposed to work.
Hillary Clinton has said, “We have to be united against the Republican visions.”
When Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucus with more votes than any Republican ever, his first response was, “To God be the glory.”
Exactly what vision are the Democrats uniting against?
As Americans and Christians I think most of us share a similar vision….one of restoring America. We want our country to be united once again like it was shortly after 9/11 happened….only without the fear….before Obama started introducing the changes he promised in 2008. I wonder if anyone, besides him, knew exactly what those changes would be.
We have seen America go from being the most respected to just another country fighting to exist economically and militarily….not to be superior necessarily, but to fit in with the rest of those struggling to survive. This is not the America we knew.
Growing up in earlier years, we were taught to respect God, our country and our elders. We seem to have forgotten the true meaning of respect….and patriotism. It has become so important for everyone to fit in (be accepted), that Christianity is being reduced in the mind of many to a sect of haters who have judged the rest of the population and found them sinful and unfit. How far from the truth this is.
Why, just because we think of America as being a “Christian nation,” should our God be placed above all others? Why, just because we believe as our founding fathers did, should our government honor such beliefs? Exactly who are we to think that America should be any better than any other country? I’ll tell you who we are…. and why.
We are God’s people, chosen by Him to rise above the limits set by men and put our faith in Him….an all-powerful God who wants the best for those who follow Him….and expects the best from us in return. Honesty, integrity and love are among the characteristics He wants us to lead with. America has been blessed above other countries simply because our trust is in the power above all others. God instills in us the strength to rise above our circumstances and achieve better. We know that all things happen for good to those that serve Him. He doesn’t give us a spirit of fear or meekness, but of strength and boldness. If God, the highest power in existence, is for us, then who can be against us? Who can defeat such power? NOBODY! Our God is LOVE. Any country who forsakes God and follows any other principals will never be anything more than a country who struggles.
America must return to our roots, to our God…. and give Him the honor and glory He deserves. If the Democrats or anyone else want to unite against this vision of greatness for America, then they do not deserve to be called Americans. Only with His divine intervention can America be made great again. It s time to look up and expect better for ourselves and our country. God is there for each one of us, if we will only ask, and believe.
If the Republicans who are vying for our votes sincerely share this vision, one of them clearly needs to step up and show themselves worthy. They all need to rise above the political insults and personal vendettas and give us a reason to trust them with our votes. We need true leadership, not more political non-sense.
