US Generals in Israel for Planning Meetings
US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Corps Gen. Joseph Dunford, along with Gen. Philip Breedlove, commander of US forces in Europe, led a high-level American delegation in talks Thursday with Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and his staff. The meeting coincided with the conclusion of the Juniper Cobra joint air defense exercises and come as the two countries seek ways to cooperate in confronting growing regional instability, including plans to increase US military assistance to Israel.
