The Obama administration’s Office of Management and Budget on Tuesday rejected a proposed increase in funding for Israel’s missile defense program of $455 million above the 2017 fiscal year budget request. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee issued a statement blasting the move, noting the bi-partisan support for it in Congress and the benefits to the defense capabilities of the US which come from collaboration with Israel.
