Reports out of Iran indicate that the clerical regime has indicted several dual-nationals, including an Iranian-American businessman, a British charity worker and a Canadian academic, who were arrested while visiting the land of their birth. Authorities are refusing to say on what grounds the indictments were issued aside from vague references to suspicions of “espionage”. Meanwhile, Iranian officials reiterated their complaints this week that the economic benefits they hoped to receive after signing the JCPOA nuclear agreement last year have not yet materialized.
