We asked Pastor Richard Mansfield to lead us in prayer for New Mexico as the Special Session of the Legislature continues……
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and grace over each of us and the great state of New Mexico. Words can not express the gratitude we feel for all You have done, are doing and have yet to do for us. I pray that we will be good stewards of all the resources You have given us. Help us to rely on You as the source of our everything. As New Mexico is in a special session, give our state leaders wisdom and understanding to make the best decisions so that our state and its people might prosper and experience the peace, power and presence of almighty God. We are calling out to You as our provider in all of the short falls that we have. Help our leaders do whatever possible to advance our state to the top of lists across America and no longer in the bottom. Help our families to be strengthened, prosper and stay together through whatever they might face. Protect our children from the evil ones that would want to hurt them in any way, shape or form. Let our education improve, communities improve and poverty and violence decrease. We pray that You will rebuke any fowl spirits from our state and our residents. As well as canceling all curses that we have brought to ourselves by the shedding of innocent blood. Forgive us for not taking a stand against the evil one. I pray blessings, prosperity and guidance over New Mexico in Jesus name, Amen!
God Bless you Pastor Richard!

Here is the feedback we received from the leaders who stayed for the round table discussion on Sept 23.
How Can We Ignite A Movement?
1. Meet in a local area and do prayer walks. Take prayer out to the streets. Ask people if they want prayer.
2. Keep going out to the streets and community. Go out strong as long as we are still able.
3. Adopt an elementary school – make sure there aren’t any hungry students. Social workers will share info to help kids.
4. Close our doors to churches and meet out in the community instead. Meet community need. On a Sunday or Friday.
5. Adopt a police substation and a fire station. Serve them & pray.
6. Must involve our children in our outreach. Teach our children to pray and serve.
7. Bring races and cultures together. Bring churches together to ensure diversity across churches. Outreach, worship, etc.
8. As pastors, we need to have lunch with state and city representatives. Talk about needs and concerns. The church can pick up slack and be available to get things done in our community.
9. Great resources at TransformOurWorld.org
10. Identify what we are already doing as churches. Don’t re-invent the wheel among churches.
11. Identify 5 major things that need to be tackled in city. Have a strategy to tackle these items across churches. Bring people together to give us their experiences to help minister to them.
12. PRAY!!! System like Amber Alert – Use system similar to send out Fast-Acting alert system to pray for something in our city.
13. Believe what we prayed for will come to pass. Don’t just pray mechanically, but believe that our prayers are actually working.
Great advice from Pastor Mike Dickenson how to move forward together:
+ Acknowledge our failure! Own it!
+ Decide to change…from Me to We!
+ Strategize.
+ Organize.
+ Do it…TOGETHER!
Let’s keep this dialogue going and seek ways to partner together.
