As my readers know I live in Northern Maine. I love the snow, I really do. The snow banks are high, right up to the house windows and beyond in places. I have been talking to God about all this snow. My son-in-law Josh has been pushing this white fluffy stuff all around my yard with his John Deere tractor. Everywhere you look snow, snow banks, snow men, snow plows, snowmobiles, etc.
A few days ago, I was driving in another one of Aroostook County’s beautiful towns. The road was a little unfamiliar, but I drive like a Grammy, I take it slow. I was out doing my visits and was headed to another home. I hit some ice and somehow ended up in the snow bank. I was stuck and couldn’t drive out. Just then three snowmobilers showed up. They said no problem, we will get you out and they did. I called them snow angels.
As I thanked them, one of the snowmobilers said God takes care of His own. I replied with yes, yes He does.I pray He returns the blessing back to you one hundred fold, I told the man. He said one hundred fold? And then He started praying for blessings to come to me. I said thank you once again and started to walk towards my car. The same snowmobiler said, I think I have heard you on the radio. I smiled and said yes, I host the radio broadcast Destiny Moments. I thanked them again and drove away.
As I headed north I cried and I laughed all within the same five minutes as I thought about my day so far. I get to meet the most amazing people every day. You never know another person’s journey. I get the blessing to hear their many stories and make sure things are working well for them. I thank God for His snow angels. I thank God He does take care of His own. I thank God He has people in place whenever we need them. I thank God for His Word. I thank God for giving His angels charge over us.
Father, thank you for sending help just when we need it. Thank you that you have our lives well under control. As we give every day to you, you direct, you protect and you fill us with your joy.
