Many people wanted a decision from the New Mexico Supreme Court today on the same sex marriage issue. The state is a mess on this issue with some County Clerks already issuing licenses to gay couples, and Attorney General Gary King and Governor Susana Martinez doing nothing about this madness. With an election around the corner they both do not want to rock the boat.
All we hear from Gary King is the sound of crickets and he just wants to be the next Governor of New Mexico.
Meanwhile Pastor Paul Holt of FGGAM news says, ” Governor Martinez could issue an Executive Order for County Clerks to obey the law where it specifies bride and groom. She could enforce state law by taking a strong position on the law. She is caving into the lawlessness of a few, less that five percent want same sex marriage.”
The New Mexico Supreme Court finished hearing arguments about the legality of same-sex marriage this morning with KOAT TV making history by live streaming the session from the Supreme Court. A ruling on same sex marriage for the state won’t come down right away.
It could take weeks for the Supreme Court to determine if New Mexico’s constitution permits same sex couples to get marriage licenses.
Let us continue to pray for the sanctity of marriage. let us stand in the gap for God on the sanctity of marriage and life. Let us also end abortion in our state and Nation!
