John 13:34-35 A new command I give you, love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
One of the greatest gift we can have is loving others as Christ loves us. Jesus is love and he requires his children to walk in love just as he walk in love, compassion, forgiving, to love unconditionally, to help the needy, to reach out to others, and to pray always.
God wants our hearts to be united in him. We are to dwell in him and he in us. Jesus wants to fill you with his entire being. His love, joy, peace and his blessings. When we allow God into our hearts, he will transform us into a new person.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has gone the new has come.
Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is now hidden in with Christ God.
Living in God’s heart is living in his love for he is love
John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love , just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
All of God’s command has to do with love, loving God and loving others. When we walk in God’s love his joy will be in our hearts. Love see’s no wrong, love conquers all,love never fails loving others pleases God.
1 John 5:2 This is how we know that we love the children of God, by loving God and carrying out his commands. And his commands are not burdensome.
Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second is this Love your neighbor as yourself. Thre is no greater commandment greater than these.
What is true love?
1Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude,it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always pererveres. 8 Love never fails.
Forgive us Lord if we ever fail to walk in love. Help us to always remember that we are able to love only because you first loved us. Love will leads us to obedience. Thank you Lord you have showed us how to love others by being an example. So as you live in us let us be the example to others by loving others and being obedient to your Word. Amen
