Marriage

Mayor David Coss and Councilor Pattie Bushee have continued their relentless pressure on State Attorney General King and their fellow City Council members to support their Resolution that declares homosexual “marriage” is legal in New Mexico.
New Mexico is predominately Christian and Catholic.  However, New Mexico’s assumption that marriage is one man-one woman is not clearly stated in the State Constitution.  In view of the upcoming Supreme Court decision, New Mexico’s position on homosexual “marriage” can and will make a definitive statement.
Wednesday, April 10, will probably be the only opportunity to address Santa Fe’s City Council on the issue of homosexual “marriage” from a Christian perspective.
Our presence at the City Council meeting tomorrow is crucial.  If the undecided Councilors see a strong showing of those espousing a Christian world-view, one man-one woman stance, the vote to be taken at the next meeting can be changed.

Please join us in Santa Fe at the City Hall, 201 West Marcy Street at Federal Place, at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, April 10, for a Prayer Circle to be followed by the 7:00 p.m. City Council Meeting. Please wear white to show that you stand in solidarity with Christian values.

We join you in praying now for this important gathering.
Yours in Christ,
Jose Vasquez
