Who Are You Depending On?

Father, thank you that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) Thank you that these Holy Scriptures are life to our very being. No matter what we go through in life, we can depend on the Word of God to bring us through.
Hebrews 4:12 says that the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Thank you for purifying our hearts. May the attitude of our lives reflect our desire to be more like you. Amen
