We Must Help One Another!

Praise God, God put me in the right place at the right time today at Montgomery and Jefferson in Albuquerque. I helped two men out of a smoke filled car they are Okay, Praise God!!!  The elderly driver was a bit dazed and the other passenger had one leg. No flames just a lot of smoke! They both were so very thankful.

I’m very sad I was the only one that stopped! Cars just kept on speeding by and honking their horn. Cars did not even stop for the Fire Truck and Rescue Truck! That’s a very sad commentary on our society, an elderly gentleman and a handicap gentlemen were in the car. Have we as a whole forgotten to serve, to come to the aid of those in danger. My friend said that people nowadays are afraid to help strangers as they are concerned with their safety. I understand that, but I will always serve first and let God take care of the rest. We cannot stop helping each other! This elderly man was confused he needed help! My Grandpa Moede and my Dad were fireman and I served on the Osceola,Indiana as a fireman! Fireman serve. I was sadden by the drivers who sped by the scene not being careful to hit the firefighters.

We must not focus so much on ourselves. Only if you could have seen the look on the elderly mans face when I helped him and the other man, it made me weep.

We must not be selfish.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

Part of the problem in America we expect to be served. Oh Lord, forgive us, we focus so much on ourselves!

How about you?
