We are so very thankful for Dr. Richard Mansfield of New Beginnings Church in Albuquerque for leading us in prayer today……so many are in prayer for our world. If you have a specific request please send it to us and we will put it on our list. God bless you all!
Heavenly Father, we are so thankful that You are such a loving and caring and sovereign God. Lord, lately tragedy, calamity and violent acts have come about so often that we feel overwhelmed by life. We hear of rumors of war with Korea, earthquakes in Mexico, Hurricane Harvey in the Gulf of Mexico that affected Texas, Louisiana and now Hurricane Irma in the Atlantic that affected Florida, Puerto Rico and other countries. We lift our eyes to You because we know that You know all things, hold all things and can change all things. Though we walk by faith and not by sight, we confess that at times what we see all around us overwhelms us and distracts us from You. When we feel small, weak and helpless, we are reminded to cast all of our cares over to You because You care for us. We come to You because You hold the Words of Life! So God, we claim 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:7-9 over our lives; “We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.” So Lord, thank You that when we are weak, You are strong. When we lack wisdom, You give it to us at the asking. Surround us with Your Holy Spirit to bring us comfort, guidance and the assurance of Your presence as we put our trust in You. We pray with great expectancy knowing that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
Thank you Dr. Mansfield.
We have been given a rich legacy of the power and importance of prayer, both in Scripture and throughout Christian history. Every generation needs courageous believers who will trust God at His Word and pick up the baton of intercession, continuing the powerful legacy of faithfully standing in the gap and seeking God’s heart in prayer.
The time is now my friends!
