Healing Wounded Souls
Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds declares the Lord.
God’s unconditional love heals and restores us to wholeness. God’s healing love helps us see ourselves through his eyes. For his love and grace heals our wounds. If you surrender all to him he will restore and heal.
Exodus 15:26 For I am the Lord who heals you.
Pain of past hurts creates a form of bondage in our lives, when giving it all to God healing will flow. But often times hurts reside in our memory and it effects the choices we make. We can never allow ourselves to stay in the prison of our past. When dealing with past hurts it makes you feel resentful and bitter. Are you sensitive about events in your past? Feeling hopelessness? Hard to forgive and love? That is when we have unresolved wounds.
Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds ,declares the Lord
Once you allow God to heal your wounds then you will have the ability to love unconditionally.
1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love of God has for us. God is love , whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in him.
Love always believes in the best in people.
1 John 2:5 But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him.
His word says to love your enemies
Luke 6;27 But I tell you who hear me love your enemies, do good to those who hate you 28 Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you do to others as you would have them do to you.
Sometimes we might even blame others for our troubles, never allow the enemy to play with your mind. If you know that God loves you, forgives and accepts you, then you are preparing yourself to receive God’s healing for your soul.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.
It is not what was done to us, but our reaction to what was done to us. Don’t hold on to your hurts, but allow God to heal. We are loved by God, not because of what we’ve done but because of who we are. God’s will for us is to heal us from all the past hurts in our lives. We need to extend forgiveness for those who have hurt us. Unforgiveness can block us from receiving our healing.
Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgression, he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed.
Heavenly Father we thank you for your love and healing power.Help us to walk in love ,forgiveness and receive your healing hand , healing all of our wounds from all hurts and to reach out to others in love just as you loved us .Amen
